Cheap Xbox 360 Consoles

Everyone knows that prices drop around Christmas and bundle packages are more attractive. After looking around today i managed to find the best deal around by far. Coming direct from asda. The package included a xbox360 Elite with a 250GB hard-drive, 2 wireless controllers and 4 games, forza motor sport 3, Need For Speed Shift Pure and Lego Batman.

Ok the batman game will probably get sold straight away but even pure looks ok, after watching a video on YouTube. And all this for £197 direct.asda.com

You might think this is expensive but considering that there’s a forza bundle with tthe same console and HDD and only 1 controller retailing at £250.

Top 10 Reasons Why Ferry Travel is Better than going by Plane

The recently concluded National Ferry Fortnight event in the UK aimed to showcase the developments in ferry travel over the years. It focused on the advantages of riding a ferry instead of travelling by air or through the channel tunnel.

Among the companies that joined in the event was Stena Line. The company is reported to have invested more than £250m in its fleet recently to provide better customer services. With regular improvements to their ships many companies are attracting more users; many tourists now prefer taking a ferry for their crossing to mainland Europe.

Stena Line’s communication manager, Nigel Tilson, said that the increase in the number of travellers who ride the ferries shows how far the industry has progressed over the years. He also said that focus should be given to the new amenities and technological advancements that are being offered by ferry companies. Some of the new services include free Wi-Fi access, salon pampering, and varied food choices.

Stena Line also presented a list of the Top 10 reasons why it is better to travel by ferry than by plane:

1. Transparent pricing policy with no hidden taxes and charges
2. No baggage restrictions
3. No check-in queues
4. Unlimited space to relax and unwind, unlike cramped aircraft conditions
5. Family friendly – free nappies, baby food and play area
6. Convenience of having your own car with you
7. Good food choices in a variety of restaurants
8. Premium-class onboard services
9. Free movies and Wi-Fi access
10. Quiet onboard lounges

A self catering ski holiday

Self catering ski apartments can be a cheap option when considering any ski holidays. The self catering holiday is favoured particularly by the younger element as it can mean that they have freedom to “do their own thing” such as getting up at lunch time for some scrambled egg! But there is more to it than that, self catering apartments can be a simple studio apartment for two or three people to more luxurious apartments with full facilities of comfortable sitting areas and balconies to watch the sun setting, or fellow skiers coming back at the end of the day, naturally clutching your après ski drink!

Ski resorts are fully geared up for self catering ski holidays with one or more supermarkets with all that is needed for a dinner with wine, or a pizza and a beer. Breakfast in self catering apartments allows you to have the full English in the morning or croissants and coffee, the choice is yours.  Self catering apartments now outnumber hotels in many resorts and if you choose the right package from your ski holiday specialist, they can be cheap as well. A self catering ski holiday, much the same as a summer holiday, does not mean that you have to eat in all the time, or at all. With an abundance of restaurants in skiing villages ranging from the simple burger and chips to the more exotic international menu, you will be spoilt for choice.

Choosing a self catering ski holiday could be tricky, particularly if you do not know the ski area you are visiting. This is where it will pay you to consult with a ski holiday specialist as they will not only know many of the apartment complexes, but can put together a package that you would find difficult to improve on. This can include flights, transfers, lift passes, equipment hire vouchers and in many cases, a welcome pack when you arrive at your apartment. You just made you ski holiday better!

Learn How To Fly

If you’re going to learn how to fly then the first thing you will need is a local flight school. It’s ideal to try and take an introductory flight first off all so that you can see what it’s like in a smaller plane, and you might even get a little bit of experience at the controls, you’ll also be able to talk to the pilot that your with ask him any questions you have.

Some flight schools with assign you with an instructor where as some will give you a choice of instructors to choose from. Your flying instructor will assess how much you already know about flying and then they will proceed to teach you in a timely manner.

When you come to do your test and get your certificate you will have 3 options, Private, Recreational and Sport. By talking to your flight instructor he will be able to guide you on costing and which certificate is right for you.

You’re sooner or later going to need to choose a type of plane to fly, if you’re looking for a recreation plane that you’re just going to fly for fun then you’ll probably want to train in something smaller and more economical such as a Cessna 172 where as if you looking at flying for business reasons or short family trips then something slightly faster and more comfortable would probably suit you.

Leaning how to fly can be a costly hobby, so it’s best to work out how often you can fly by working out the rental cost of the plane and or Fuel and the instructor fee.
You will now be able to work out how often you can learn how to fly.

Buying a Private Plate

Today i have been looking at buying myself a private number plate after my post a while back and cherished plates.

I was torn between going to the DVLA direct or to go through a 3rd party broker site, now i’m not saying this is a set rule, but i would shop around.

On the first 3rd party website i went to i was looking at a total of £321.50 which was made up from the £210.00 registration price, VAT at 15% £31.50, and the DVLA transfer of £80.00.

For the same registration of P55 WAX, the DVLA will only charge you £245 which is your total amount no hidden fees.

After a while I thought I’d try one last 3rd party website to see if it would match the DVLA’s price.

For the same plate they were going to charge £220 for the Registration price, £33 for the VAT at 15% and a DVLA transfer fee at £80.

So it was pretty much the same as the first 3rd party site that i tried. So you definitely saving money by buying direct from the DVLA.

How to Heat a Small Building

A small building will not always have the space and capacity to facilitate a large heating system. Therefore it is doubly important to know how to heat a small building efficiently. This can be done by following a few simple tips.

Step One
Use portable heaters when a central heating system is too costly to install. These will adequately heat confined areas but will only work on a room to room basis. They are a very good stop gap measure.

Step Two
If portable heaters are not good enough to do the job then make sure any thing you buy has a laboratory label. This will mean that it has been tested and verified for sale within the United Kingdom. This is the first thing to look for.

Step Three

Do not use a space heater that is controlled by a thermostat. In a small area you need to be the one in control because a small building will commonly be used for individual and specific purposes.

Step Four
All heaters will come with a sizing table. This will allow you to determine which heater will be most efficient for heating the small building.

Step Five
Once you have purchased the heater you are happy with, position it safely in the small building. It should not be near any people or pets and should not be creating a hazard. Make sure the heater is not near any curtains or materials.

Installing A Shower Enclosure

There is plenty that you will need to consider when installing  shower enclosures in your bathroom. Style, of course, has a big say in what type you choose, but easily the most important concern you will have is size.

Even if you plan to install a new shower tray into a small area, and are hoping to feature a walk-in shower cubicle, you will still have to allow plenty of room for the door to open and close – meaning you should allow roughly two lengths of your shower tray for the total area.

However, among the most popular options for anyone installing a shower into a small bathroom suite are the sliding-door corner units that are widely available. As well as possessing a curvaceous and stylish design for the shower tray, these enclosures will also cancel out any extra room you will need for opening and closing the door.

Size will always dictate what type of shower enclosure you will be able to use, but what also needs to be looked out for is the layout of the plumbing in your bathroom. Showers will need to be installed where there is easy access to the pipe work. Electrical sockets and power sources, however, will be a lot easier to move around.

This sort of DIY undertaking will always look easier than it actually is, and with the potential disasters that can arise from bad fitting, such as poor drainage or leakage, calling on a professional is highly recommended.

Fishing Leaning How To’s

If you’re going to start fishing, the first thing you will need is a rod, there’s no point in buying a really expensive one at first a cheap rod around the £25 mark would suffice.

The Shakespeare Zeta Rod with a screw quiver tip is ideal for starters, it won’t hold fish over the 10LBs mark to well but if you’re careful there shouldn’t be any issues.
These rods can be found at Whitby Angling Supplies for a tad over £15. Looking for a cheap Baitrunner reel, then don’t stray far as they also supply a In2 Freespool reel. Don’t be put off by the name as it is made by Shakespeare a world leading name in the Fishing game.
So for under £40 you can have a good rod and reel for a starter and if in a year your still fishing then that’s the time to buy a more expensive rod and reel combo.

You can also buy Berkley Trilene XL line, which is a strong and smooth handling line, and can be used for mainline and hook lengths.

When you’re getting weights, floats and hooks you’re best going to your local shop and getting some advice from them, they’ll also give you some top tips for local fisheries.

How to Get to Belfast, Ireland

For anyone planning a visit to Belfast, the city is served by two airports, Belfast International Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport. Belfast International Airport is located 17miles northwest of the city centre and operates both international and domestic flights, while George Best Belfast City Airport is located three miles east of the city centre and handles only domestic flights within the UK and Ireland. Airlines that operate flights to Belfast include Aer Lingus, Flybe and BMI British Midland.

Although getting to this city can be a little awkward, especially for international travellers, it is well worth the effort. Belfast is home to some surprising treasures, including churches and cathedrals, historic sites, family attractions, National Trust properties, museums, parks and gardens, concert halls and arenas, scenic attractions, theatres and the Titanic’s dock.

One of the major attractions is the city’s rich legacy of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, which is particularly evident in buildings such as Belfast City Hall, the Grand Opera House, Belfast Castle and Queen’s University.

For history-loving visitors and casual tourists, the local museums and places of interest include the Ulster Transport Museum and Titanic’s Dock, both of which provide an insight into the industrial heritage and history of the city.

For family days out, some of the most popular attractions are Belfast Zoo, the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust and Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory. Belfast Zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos anywhere in the UK; while Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory entertains children by letting them watch the process of making handcrafted sweets.

How To Download Bingo Software

There are two basic types of online bingo software, downloadable software and non-downloadable software. Downloadable software must be downloaded onto your computer before you can use it to play online bingo. In most cases, this is relatively easy to do if you follow the instructions step by step.
The site will have a ‘download’ link that you have to click on to initiate downloading. You need select where you want the file saved. One of the best places is your desktop because it is easily accessible. Once the software has been downloaded you will need to install it on your machine.

The file should be present on your desktop. Find it and double click to install. It will automatically select when it should be installed and ask for confirmation. Make a note of its location and click ‘yes’. Also select ‘yes’ if it asks to place an icon on the desktop. Once you have done this the software will be installed. This may take some time depending on your computer.

Once installation has finished it may ask you to restart your computer. Once you have done this open the program by using the icon on the desktop or calling up a list of programs (clicking on the ‘start’ menu and finding the ‘all programs’ tab).
It’s a good idea to keep the installation program in a folder on your hard drive. Test the bingo software to ensure it works properly. You should check the website if you encounter any problems during installation.
