A self catering ski holiday
Self catering ski apartments can be a cheap option when considering any ski holidays. The self catering holiday is favoured particularly by the younger element as it can mean that they have freedom to “do their own thing” such as getting up at lunch time for some scrambled egg! But there is more to it than that, self catering apartments can be a simple studio apartment for two or three people to more luxurious apartments with full facilities of comfortable sitting areas and balconies to watch the sun setting, or fellow skiers coming back at the end of the day, naturally clutching your après ski drink!
Ski resorts are fully geared up for self catering ski holidays with one or more supermarkets with all that is needed for a dinner with wine, or a pizza and a beer. Breakfast in self catering apartments allows you to have the full English in the morning or croissants and coffee, the choice is yours. Self catering apartments now outnumber hotels in many resorts and if you choose the right package from your ski holiday specialist, they can be cheap as well. A self catering ski holiday, much the same as a summer holiday, does not mean that you have to eat in all the time, or at all. With an abundance of restaurants in skiing villages ranging from the simple burger and chips to the more exotic international menu, you will be spoilt for choice.
Choosing a self catering ski holiday could be tricky, particularly if you do not know the ski area you are visiting. This is where it will pay you to consult with a ski holiday specialist as they will not only know many of the apartment complexes, but can put together a package that you would find difficult to improve on. This can include flights, transfers, lift passes, equipment hire vouchers and in many cases, a welcome pack when you arrive at your apartment. You just made you ski holiday better!
