Give your shower a boost
If you find that your shower does not provide adequate pressure for both hot and cold you may then wish to give your existing shower a boost, this can be easily achieved by using a booster pump, which will be able to give you a shower at the desired pressure at any altitude to experience faster cleansing. Shower pumps achieve this through interfacing the shower with a pump operated by a machine which will enable you to get the desired pressure even if you reside at the uppermost floor of a building.
There are two different types of shower pumps available, the single impeller or the single shower pump and the twin impeller or twin shower pump. A standard single pump is ideal for boosting the water pressure and flow in vented systems, they can boost the water pressure in either the hot or cold water supply as well as boost the blended water outlet between the shower valve and the shower rose. However it is not suitable for pumping water supplies to common mixers. Twin shower pumps are designed for installation into vented systems to pump both the hot and cold water supplies, so it boosts them both equally they also boost the hot and cold water services in your home, including bathroom, kitchen or cloakroom. A twin pump will pressurise the supply in applications such as loft conversions, where outlets are higher than the water source and pressurise the complete system where it is uncertain whether a positive flow naturally exits.
