If you’re going to learn how to fly then the first thing you will need is a local flight school. It’s ideal to try and take an introductory flight first off all so that you can see what it’s like in a smaller plane, and you might even get a little bit of experience at the controls, you’ll also be able to talk to the pilot that your with ask him any questions you have.

Some flight schools with assign you with an instructor where as some will give you a choice of instructors to choose from. Your flying instructor will assess how much you already know about flying and then they will proceed to teach you in a timely manner.

When you come to do your test and get your certificate you will have 3 options, Private, Recreational and Sport. By talking to your flight instructor he will be able to guide you on costing and which certificate is right for you.

You’re sooner or later going to need to choose a type of plane to fly, if you’re looking for a recreation plane that you’re just going to fly for fun then you’ll probably want to train in something smaller and more economical such as a Cessna 172 where as if you looking at flying for business reasons or short family trips then something slightly faster and more comfortable would probably suit you.

Leaning how to fly can be a costly hobby, so it’s best to work out how often you can fly by working out the rental cost of the plane and or Fuel and the instructor fee.
You will now be able to work out how often you can learn how to fly.
