Travelling with Children in the UK

So, you’re on holiday in the UK… you’ve seen the sights and visited the attractions and you’re having a brilliant vacation. But what do you do if your child is ill? For specific paediatric care, there are many specialised child doctors, London. Services are varied but extremely accessible so rest assured that there is help if you’re in need of any kind of medical care.
Of course, in an emergency situation you can go directly to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) service at your nearest hospital. This may involve a lengthy wait but you will be assessed by a triage nurse on arrival who will assess your needs and place you in the queue in order of priority. For suspected breaks, sprains and fractures, an x-ray may be required and you may have to wait until a qualified radiographer is available. If further treatment is required, a doctor may refer you to a specialised department or transfer you to an appropriate children’s care ward. The NHS is one of the most respected health care services in the world and you will be very well looked after.

If your child needs medical care in a non-emergency situation then a GP can help. If you’re not registered with a general practitioner then you can look for a specialised child doctor London but you may have to pay a fee. Do check your travel insurance or if you’re from the EU, ensure you carry your E111 with you at all times.
Your child is entitled to receive the treatment and care they deserve and as soon as they are well, you can get back to enjoying your holiday!
